As you can see- there really
isnt a food that I wont eat!!
Hobbies: Dance, water skiing, eating (during the
off-season)
Fave body part to train: Back & Chest
Most hated body part
to train:
LEGS- I have to concentrate all
my efforts to make my wheels grow, so each workout becomes more painful than the last. I am usually in tears!
Workout days/body
parts:
Train 6 days/ wk, 1 x / day during
the off-season, 2x/day pre-contest.
I started training with a new
partner who has been competing for 15 years and has worked with such top Pro females such as Lenda Murry and Yolanda Hughes.
I have started training
more instinctively- still sticking with 5-6 days in a row training. This is a new style- so I am giving it a try. He believes
in never giving your body the same amount of recovery time. You might give your back 4 days of recovery or 8 days depending
on how the workouts are going and what order things fall in.
Here is an example of
a typical week: But this will change from week to week
Monday: Chest,
Biceps
Tues: Legs, calves
Wed: Shoulders,
abs
Thurs: Hamstrings,
Calves
Friday: Back, Triceps
Saturday: Glutes,
abs, calves
Sunday: Off

A bit about me:
I was not athletic in the
usual sense of the word. I did not play a sport, run track, and often was the last picked when choosing teams in gym class.
I was a performer. When I was six years old, I started taking dancing lessons. I loved it. I excelled in tap, jazz, ballet,
modern, and pointe. I danced semi-professionally in college. Being on stage was the highlight of my life. When I was 17 y.o. I decided to become a certified aerobics instructor
, thinking it was a great way to stay in shape and choreograph awesome routines.
At this time in the aerobics world- the more intricate the routine the better the instructor. I loved teaching and eventually
took it to another lever when I attended Michigan State University. I ended up becoming the coordinator of the aerobics program
and took it to a new level. I was always fixed on muscular physiques. The only weights I lifted at that point were in my body
sculpt classes, hardly the type of weight lifting to give you any muscle.
When I was 19 y.o. I met a Nationally
ranked male bodybuilder who introduced me to serious weight training. I was hooked ever since. I became dedicated to the life-style-
not knowing if I would ever achieve physiques like my role models Corey Everson, Melissa Coates, and Sharon Bruneau.
I finished my bachelors
degree in nutrition and moved to New York City to earn a masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and become a registered dietician.
After I finished my education, I wanted to focus my energy on bodybuilding. I started competing in local natural shows in
1998 and finally competed at a NPC National Qualifier in June of 1999. It was then that I realized that I might have a future
as a bodybuilder. I worked really hard in 2001 doing three national shows in
hopes to earn a pro- card. I hope 2002 is my year to finally turn Pro.
Past achievements:
Minor in Dance from MSU
Major in Dietetics from MSU
Masters in Nutrition from NYU
Registered Dietician- earned in
1998 Certified diabetes
educator- earned 1999
