A bit about me:
I work in Software Quality Assurance in support of the US Marine Corps. I have always been active since I started
running the summer before my freshman year in high school. I worked part time at a health club while I was attending college. It was there that I saw for the first time a woman work out seriously with weights and in
that process she transformed her body dramatically. I began incorporating weight
training with my running in 1982. In 1989 Kansas City became my new home and a year later I met Mike Patton, who was training
for the Missouri State Bodybuilding Championships. We trained together for that
show as well as for the current shows that I have participated in. I have also
trained and competed with Dr.Tim Young and currently have a former Marine Corps Marathon champion, George Green to push me
through some intense cardio workouts when I prepare for competitions.
I have trained for 23 years and have
competed on and off in that time period. I cannot describe how wonderful it is to be
in your best shape. Although there are those days when it is tempting to skip workouts or I go through a period of time where
it seems to be not so exciting, I focus on how great it feels to be fit. You never
know what tomorrow brings. I want to make the most of today.
